Wardrobe and storage

  • A clothes wardrobe needs about 60 cm of depth; a shallower shoe cabinet about 30–35 cm.
  • In a narrow hall sliding doors do not block the way.
  • Hooks and a bench by the door help every day.

Mirror and light

A large mirror makes the hall look wider. Use light from several points (spots, wall lights) rather than one lamp in the middle.

Colours

Light walls enlarge the hall, but a deep colour (e.g. bottle green) can look great if the hall is well lit. Hall walls get dirty easily — choose washable paint.

FAQ

How do I design a narrow hallway?

Shallow cabinets, sliding doors, a large mirror and several light points. Try colours and furniture on your photo in Redomium.

Can I try a dark wall colour?

Yes — RAL colours appear on the photo instantly and use no credits.

Will the wardrobe fit?

Draw the hallway in Plan mode and add the wardrobe: the planner checks the space in front of it.
